Your situation

You are working with a German-Japanese team in person or online. Irrespective of whether your Japanese colleagues are personally present or continents away: cultural differences will lead to friction losses again and again, dogging communications in some instances, while creating disagreements on work procedures and the assignment of competences in others.

Your goals

You are convinced that there is no need for differences to only ever be divisive. They can also create accord. You are interested in jointly examining and analysing the different working methods with your Japanese colleagues at neutrally chaired meetings. You feel a need to establish new teamwork rules that do justice to both cultures: not only in order to work more effectively, but also to help the team bond over time.
